Die Forming Lubrication

Die forging is an ancient technology which still using widely in the heavy industry to form metals. It is the simple and common way to shape a metal especially huge indus-trial parts. As we PTC, we provide our cus-tomer productivity and sustainability where they need it in this industry. We design each project according to the specif-ic needs of our customers.

PTC Dosing machine prepares the lubrica-tion agent with required amount of wa-ter/oil ratio. The entire process is managed by PLC controlled HMI interface automati-cally. Dosing process is done by servo driver pump. It has automatic water supply system which allows to water flow accord-ing to laser level sensor on main storage mix tank.

Lubrication agent which preperad by dosing machine storaged in the main stor-age tank. This tank has many aparatus on it. Mixer unit provides the prepared oil to be constantly active to lubrication. Level sensor indicates the oil level. Filter regula-tor sets the air flow. Solenoid valves with in-dicator control the flow through the PLC. Diaphragm pump boosts the oil to the dis-tribution stations which shown below.

Distribution stations gets together air and mixed oil and conducts to the die. It has main valve island on it. This valve island controls and triggers all pilot lines through PLC.

Piston guided lubrication heads are commonly used for female dies. This lubrication heads pow-ered by distribution stations. It lubricate the die at defined periods during the process. There are specific nozzles bits on the head. These nozzles are produced with specific bore diameters and angles. They spray the mixed oil on the die.

For male dies, we designed the ring type head which also similar to piston guided. It has specific nozzle bits which are differ from female ones at different angle and bore diameter. Ring tyype head is also powered by distribution station. Lu-brication process executes when male die passes through the ring.

Like the die spraying, all forging lubrication system designed as outer mixture spraying. Since it is the best way to lubrication to get perfect re-sults, we apply as it as possible for many system.
