efficiency measured
Over the years, a number of test methods have been developed for hydrogen and in-clusion detection in liquid aluminum. Among those, the most common use is RPT analysis. RPT analysis is both simple and sensitive to gas and inclusion content. Side image shows the result of degassing sam-ples at some values of density index.


RPT Analysis
Reduced pressure test ( RPT ) to determine the po-rosity level of the cast. The mplten alloy
(~120 g) is poured into a preheated thin-walled iron vessel and solidified under reduced pressure of 80 mBar. The densities of the RPT samples are determined by the density measurement method.
